Algol (2nd Edition)

The Algol is a relatively small television set and was conceived to be “hidden” in a cupboard when not in use. The screen protrudes at an angle diagonally upwards to allow for better program viewing. When first launched, its yellow colour and shape earned it the nickname “banana”. The Algol has been periodically updated in form and function and remained in production for over 50 years.

The first edition is included in the Permanent Design Collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
